Lakeview Urbanists created a petition in response to several newsworthy car crashes along Inner Lake Shore Drive last year, including three that injured or killed pedestrians at Addison and Inner LSD. One of the main responsibilities of the District Council is to hold monthly community meetings. These meetings include:

  • Updates from District Council Members on the work we’ve been doing.

  • 19th Police District public safety updates.

  • Guest speakers from organizations across the 19th District working on issues impacting public safety like mental health response, community violence intervention, homelessness, and more.

  • A public comment period of up to 20 minutes, up to 2 minutes per speaker.
