County Board President - Toni Preckwinkle
Girl I Guess Guide put it best, Coming for the Queen is exactly our sentiments when it comes to the Cook County Board President primary challenge.
We are extremely happy to endorse Toni Preckwinkle for the President of the Cook County Board of Commissioners, one of the most powerful local executives in the United States, presiding over the governmental functions of the 2nd-largest County in the nation. Toni is the incumbent and we all sleep better at night, knowing that she is in charge vs yet another Republican pretending to be a Democrat, because such is tradition here is Chicago.
Brendan Reilly, who has secured the Tribune endorsement (big surprise!) is a DINO, who is responsible for the approval of the abomination on the river walk that ruined our skyline for the time being and second most unpleasant alderman in Chicago. His ties to the old Chicago machine politics are well documented. More importantly, there is no sense that Reilly cares one bit about the people of Chicago, he is not even pretending to care. We strongly recommend that Reilly takes his clown act somewhere else, because today is not the day, and we are not the ones. Bye, Reilly.
Brendan Reilly was Madigan’s play for the real estate tax business in River North. When Burke put this sign on the river walk, Reilly had to give consent. While the honorary street designation on the other side of the river could be removed, the sign with a permit gives permit holder enforceable right.
