Hello, Lovely People of Lakeview’s 44th Ward!

The people of the 44th Ward have consistently voted for progress: we voted for Mayor Brandon Johnson with the progressive coalition of Chicago in 2023, we voted YES in the Spring 2024 referendum to Bring Chicago Home, we even got close to 47% votes for Bernie Sanders in the 2016 presidential primary. Yet our ward, state, house and congressional representation doesn’t reflect our progressive values. March 17, 2026 Democratic Primaries further proved this point. State Democratic party and 44th ward dems threw their weight behind toxic incumbents, and dark money candidates closing the door shut for the progressive generation.

How do we change that? We learn from these primaries. We organize.
